Reputation Scoring Disclaimer
Effective: March 1, 2026
1. What the Score Represents
Each account listed on My Blog receives a score between 0 and 100. The score aggregates multiple weighted factors:
- Report volume — number of independent reports filed.
- Reporter credibility — track record and reputation of reporters.
- Evidence strength — quality and quantity of supporting evidence.
- Behavior consistency — whether multiple reports describe similar patterns.
- Account age anomaly — age-vs-activity ratio signals.
- Platform confirmation — whether the native platform has taken independent action.
Weights are configurable by site administrators and may change over time as the model is refined. Historical scores are not retroactively recalculated unless explicitly triggered.
2. What the Score Does NOT Represent
- It is not a legal finding, court order, or governmental determination.
- It does not constitute defamation, libel, or an accusation of wrongdoing by an identifiable natural person.
- It does not incorporate any non-public or platform-internal data. All inputs are user-contributed.
- It carries no guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.
3. Confidence Levels
Every score is accompanied by a confidence indicator (None, Low, Medium, High) reflecting the breadth and quality of data behind it. Users should treat low-confidence scores with particular caution—they may shift substantially as more reports are filed.
4. Potential for Error
Community-sourced data is inherently susceptible to:
- False positives — legitimate accounts mistakenly reported.
- Coordinated manipulation — bad actors filing mass reports to inflate a score.
- Stale data — an account’s behavior may change after reports were filed.
We employ reporter-reputation weighting, rate limiting, and manual moderation to mitigate these risks but cannot eliminate them entirely.
5. Not a Basis for Adverse Action
You should not use a BotIdentifier score as the sole basis to:
- Ban, suspend, or restrict an account on another platform.
- Terminate employment, contracts, or business relationships.
- Deny services, benefits, or opportunities to any individual.
- Harass, threaten, or dox any person.
Any such misuse is a violation of our Terms of Service.
6. Dispute & Correction
If you believe a score is inaccurate or based on false reports, you may request a review or data removal. See our Data Removal Request page for the process.
7. No Warranty
SCORES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY DECISIONS MADE OR ACTIONS TAKEN IN RELIANCE ON A SCORE.
