Dispute & Data Removal
Last updated: March 1, 2026
1. Options Available to You
Depending on your situation, you may request one or more of the following:
| Option | What It Does | When to Use |
|---|---|---|
| Score Review | A moderator manually re-evaluates the score and its contributing reports. | You believe the score is disproportionate or based on outdated information. |
| Report Dispute | Specific reports are flagged for review and may be removed or corrected. | You can identify particular reports that contain false or misleading claims. |
| Full Removal | The entire account listing, all associated reports, score history, and evidence files are permanently deleted. | You want all data removed from the platform entirely. |
2. Who Can Submit a Dispute
- The owner of the social-media account listed on My Blog.
- An authorized legal representative acting on behalf of the account owner.
- A parent or guardian of a minor whose account is listed.
Proof of ownership is required to prevent abuse. See section 3 for accepted forms of verification.
3. How to Submit
Send an email to admin@botidentifier.com with the subject line “Dispute Request” or “Data Removal Request” and include:
- Account URL or ID — the My Blog listing page or account identifier.
-
Proof of ownership — one of the following:
- A screenshot showing you are logged in to the social-media account, with the current date visible.
- A temporary public post on the account containing a verification code we provide.
- Official correspondence from the platform confirming ownership.
- Requested action — score review, report dispute (specify which reports), or full removal.
- Explanation — a factual summary of why you believe the data is inaccurate, misleading, or should be removed. Be as specific as possible.
4. What Happens After Submission
We acknowledge receipt within 3 business days.
We verify your ownership of the account. We may ask for additional proof.
A moderator reviews the disputed reports and evidence. For score reviews, the scoring breakdown is re-examined component by component. Target turnaround: 14 business days.
You receive a written response detailing the outcome—whether reports were removed, the score was adjusted, or the listing was deleted.
5. Possible Outcomes
- Reports removed & score recalculated. If specific reports are found to be inaccurate or in violation of the Content Moderation Policy, they are deleted and the account’s score is recalculated automatically.
- Score adjusted. If the score is found to be disproportionate due to a model limitation or data issue, a moderator may trigger a manual recalculation.
- Full removal completed. The account listing, all reports, score history, evidence files, and watchlist entries are permanently deleted. We retain only anonymized, aggregate statistics for transparency reporting.
- No action taken. If the reports are supported by evidence and comply with our policies, the listing may be retained. We explain why in our written response.
6. When We May Decline
A dispute or removal request may be declined if:
- Ownership cannot be verified.
- The listing is supported by substantial, independently verified evidence.
- The account is associated with documented coordinated inauthentic behavior confirmed by independent sources or the platform itself.
- Removal would conflict with a legal obligation or legitimate public interest.
- The request appears to be part of a pattern of abuse designed to suppress legitimate reports.
A declined request is not final. You may resubmit with additional evidence or use the appeal process described below.
7. Appeals
If your dispute is declined, you may appeal by replying to the decision email within 30 days with any additional evidence or context. Appeals are reviewed by a senior moderator who was not involved in the original decision. Appeal resolution target: 7 business days.
8. Data We Delete Upon Full Removal
A successful full-removal request results in the permanent deletion of:
- The account listing (custom post and all associated metadata).
- All reports referencing that account.
- Score history, component breakdowns, and confidence metrics.
- Uploaded screenshots and evidence files linked to those reports.
- Watchlist entries referencing the account.
We retain anonymized, aggregate statistics (e.g., “X listings were removed in Q1 2026”) that contain no personally identifiable information.
9. GDPR & Other Privacy Regulations
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with data-protection legislation (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you may have additional statutory rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and portability. This dispute and removal process is designed to satisfy those obligations.
Reference your applicable regulation in your email if you wish to exercise statutory rights. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
