Data Removal Request
Effective: March 1, 2026
My Blog respects your right to request review, correction, or removal of data associated with a social-media account listed in our database. This page explains what we can and cannot do, and how to submit a request.
1. Who Can Submit a Request
- The owner of the social-media account listed on My Blog.
- An authorized legal representative acting on behalf of the account owner.
- A parent or guardian of a minor whose account is listed.
We require reasonable proof of ownership (see step 2 below) to prevent abuse of the removal process.
2. How to Submit
Send an email to admin@botidentifier.com with the subject line “Data Removal Request” and include:
- Account URL — the My Blog page or account ID you want reviewed.
- Proof of ownership — one of the following:
- A screenshot showing you are logged in to the social-media account in question, with the current date visible.
- A temporary public post on the account containing a verification code we provide upon request.
- Official correspondence from the platform confirming ownership (e.g., a support ticket).
- Requested action — choose one:
- Full removal — delete the account listing, all associated reports, and score data.
- Partial correction — remove or correct specific inaccurate reports while retaining the listing.
- Score review — request a manual re-evaluation of the score and contributing reports.
- Brief explanation — why you believe the data is inaccurate or should be removed.
3. What Happens Next
We acknowledge your request within 3 business days.
We verify your identity and ownership. We may ask for additional proof.
A moderator reviews the reports and evidence tied to the listing. Target turnaround: 14 business days.
We either action the removal/correction or explain why we cannot. You receive a written response.
4. When We May Decline
We may decline a removal request if:
- Ownership cannot be verified.
- The account is associated with documented coordinated inauthentic behavior confirmed by independent sources.
- Removal would conflict with a legal obligation or legitimate public interest (e.g., ongoing law-enforcement investigation, election integrity monitoring).
- The request is itself part of a pattern of abuse designed to suppress legitimate reports.
A denial is not final. You may re-submit with additional evidence or appeal using the process below.
5. Appeals
If your request is denied, reply to the decision email within 30 days with any additional evidence. Appeals are reviewed by a senior moderator not involved in the original decision. Appeal resolution target: 7 business days.
6. Data We Delete
Upon a successful full-removal request we permanently delete:
- The account listing (custom post and all post meta).
- All reports referencing that account and their associated metadata.
- Score history, breakdown data, and confidence metrics.
- Uploaded screenshots and evidence files linked to those reports.
- Watchlist entries referencing the account.
We retain anonymized, aggregated statistics (e.g., “X reports were removed in Q1 2026”) for transparency reporting. These contain no personally identifiable information.
7. Automated Requests
We do not accept automated or bulk removal requests. Each request must be individually submitted and verified. Attempts to automate the process may be treated as abuse.
8. GDPR & Privacy Rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with data-protection legislation (e.g., GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA), you may have additional rights including access, rectification, erasure, and portability. This removal process is designed to satisfy those obligations. Reference your applicable regulation in your email if you wish to exercise statutory rights.
